Ronaldo the bull allowed at Wembley for Hereford FC final

Ronaldo the bull was paraded at the first league game of the season against Dunkirk

Hereford FC's mascot, Ronaldo the bull, has been allowed to parade at Wembley ahead of the FA Vase final.

The club, which was formed after the financial collapse of Hereford United, has reached the final against Morpeth Town on 22 May in its first season.

Hereford FC and Herefordshire Football Association (FA) said they would like to thank the FA for "agreeing to this unprecedented request" over the bull.

Ronaldo was named after Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Herefordshire FA chief executive Jim Lambert said it realised "how important Ronaldo is to the fans".

Hereford FC chairman Jon Hale said: "When he was paraded before our first competitive game back in August he was a huge hit with everyone at the stadium, and I'm sure it will be no different for those people who see him at Wembley."

The team also won the Midland Football League championship on Monday.

Hereford FC's promotion means they will now play in The Evo-Stik League in their second season.
