A man has admitted trying to get his hands on two fragmentation grenades.
Alex Piatt-Green, from Fulbrook Close, Redditch, Worcestershire pleaded guilty to attempting to possess an explosive substance on or before 26 January.
The charge stated he tried to get the grenades in a way "that gives rise to a reasonable suspicion that he would not have them in his possession for a lawful object".
The 51-year-old entered the plea on Friday at the Old Bailey.
Sentencing was adjourned until 9 June and he was remanded into custody.
