Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Hereford

A man has died after apparently being struck by a vehicle, police say.

A man in his 50s was found fatally injured following a suspected collision in Holme Lacy Road, Hereford, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

West Mercia Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.

The cause of the man's death has yet to be fully established but it is believed he was struck by a vehicle, police added.

Det Insp Mel Reynolds said: "This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the man's family at this incredibly difficult and upsetting time.

"Our enquiries are continuing and we're particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the man or were themselves in the vicinity, of Rotherwas Industrial Estate towards Holme Lacy Road after 01:00 BST on Sunday morning."
