Two brothers have had their jail terms extended after admitting dealing class A and B drugs in the city of Worcester.

Usman Omar Multani, 29, and Kaasim Mohammed Multani, 25, pleaded guilty to a list of drug offences.

It follows an investigation by West Mercia Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU).

The pair, both from the city and already serving jail terms, were sentenced at Worcester Crown Court.

The elder brother had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine and conspiracy to supply cannabis, between 2016 and 2018.

County lines

His 25-year-old brother also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine and conspiracy to supply cannabis.

The brothers were already serving jail sentences at HMP Hewell for grievous bodily with intent.

Usman Multani is currently serving nine years and six months while Kaasim Multani is serving eight years.

The new sentencing adds an extra 32 months and 22 months respectively to their jail terms

Det Ch Insp Gerard Smith said: "Tackling serious and organised crime and county lines is a priority and we will continue to focus our efforts on disrupting the criminal behaviour of those who are causing harm in our communities."
