Eleven public art projects have been announced for Hereford.
Herefordshire Council is spending £204,000 on a mix of street artworks, installations and a new public art trail around the city.
The commissioned artists include Estee Alleno-Powell creating passageway artwork at Union Walk and Nomad Clan producing street artwork at the Commercial Inn.
The authority hopes they "encourages locals and tourists to stay longer".
"The commissioned artists range from international and regional level to supporting local Herefordshire talent," the council said.
The art work hopes to "improve the general wellbeing of residents, signpost to businesses across the city and overcome the lack of perceived safety in certain areas of Hereford", a spokesperson said.
The money, which included a further £39,000 for a public consultation, project management and documentation, came from the £6m Hereford City Centre Improvements scheme.
It is jointly funded by the council and the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership but they say the funding is time-limited.
"There is a limited window to commission artists and install the artworks before the end of March 2024," the council said but added: "Many of the artworks have quick installation times."
This news was gathered by the Local Democracy Reporting Service which covers councils and other public service organisations.
