Project organisers hope to auction all 40 of the toads for charity later this month

A giant commemorative toad which was stolen from a street in Hull has been found.

The Magenta toad was one of 40 designed to mark the 25th anniversary of the death of poet Philip Larkin.

It was taken from the Meltonwest business park over the weekend - and found on Monday evening in a lay-by on the A63, near to a Travelodge.

It is believed the undamaged toad will be returned to its plinth at the business park on Saturday.

The toads are to be auctioned off for charity later this month.
