A train operator has cancelled morning services running between Hull and London due to problems with carriages.

First Hull Trains cancelled the 0825 to London. The 1148 from Kings Cross to Hull has also been cancelled.

The 1710 from Hull to London is unlikely to run. Passengers are advised to report to departure stations for alternative transportation.

The announcement follows the cancellation of all trains from Hull to the capital on Tuesday.

It comes after the operator was ranked joint first in the country for customer satisfaction according to a survey.

The Spring 2011 National Passenger Survey ranked the train operator joint first with Heathrow Express.

Ninety-five per cent of passengers stated they were satisfied with the overall service.
