The works will lower the level of the A63, National Highways say

Drivers are being told the westbound carriageway of the A63 in Hull will be closed overnight on Monday.

Works are ongoing to lower the level of the A63 to create an underpass, with Ferensway and Commercial Road passing overhead.

The stretch from Daltry Street to Roger Millward Way will be closed to all traffic from 22:00 GMT to 06:00 on Tuesday, National Highways said.

Diversions will be in place, it said.

National Highways said it did not expect significant noise disruption but added levels would be monitored and action taken if needed.

It said the work was "to ease congestion by increasing capacity", external at the Mytongate junction.

The work was being carried out before Christmas to help minimise disruption, the agency added.
