A man who died following a house fire in Hull has been named by his family as 54-year-old Anthony Ibbitson.

Emergency crews were called to Terry Street at about 20:40 GMT on 29 November to reports of a fire at a property.

Firefighters pulled Mr Ibbitson from the building but he died on Friday from his injuries in hospital, police said.

Humberside Police, which has opened a murder investigation, said "extensive inquiries" were continuing.

On Sunday, the force released CCTV showing a man who officers believed might be able to help with their inquiries.

Det Ch Insp Amy Keane-Christie said detectives were continuing to conduct house-to-house inquiries while further CCTV footage was being reviewed.

The force did not say if any arrests had been made.

Meanwhile, Ms Keane-Christie said detectives were keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage covering the junction of Ferensway, Spring Bank and Freetown Way between 19:25 and 19:35 on Wednesday.

Ms Keane-Christie added: "I would like to reiterate that we do believe this to be an isolated incident and I would encourage anyone with concerns to please speak to officers patrolling the area.

"Our thoughts are with Anthony's family at this very difficult time."
