Mum's tribute to 'lovely' son killed in Immingham crash

Lewis Tuson's mum described him as her "best friend"

A 19-year-old man who died after being hit by a van in Immingham was a "lovely person", his mother said.

Lewis Tuson died from his injuries on 31 January, the day after the crash on the B1210 Habrough Road, Humberside Police said.

His mother added: "Lewis wasn't just my son, he was my best friend."

Daniel Johnsen, 34, of Ashtree Close, Immingham, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving.

Mr Tuson's mother said her son would be missed dearly and was "kind and so smart", adding he was "an amazing big brother and friend".

Mr Johnsen is due before Grimsby Crown Court on 4 March.
