Scunthorpe: Driver sought after boy seriously hurt in crash

A driver who left the scene after a 14-year-old boy was seriously hurt when he was hit by a car in Scunthorpe is being urged by police to come forward.

The incident happened on Doncaster Road near the junction of Newland Avenue at about 13:20 GMT on Friday.

The driver of a white Vauxhall car is believed to have stopped but left before officers arrived, Humberside Police said.

An appeal has been made for witnesses and any CCTV and dashcam footage.
