'Significant investment' for Preston leisure centre

A leisure centre in East Yorkshire is to be refurbished, the council said.
East Riding Leisure South Holderness in Preston will benefit from £240,000 investment this spring.
It will include an extended gym, new equipment and air conditioning.
The gym will close on 5 March but the remainder of the centre will remain open during the refurbishment, East Riding of Yorkshire Council said. The work is expected to be completed in May.
Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure and tourism, said it was "great news for the community".
The council said improvements to changing facilities and a function room will follow later.
