The work on Princes Avenue is expected to take three weeks, Hull City Council said.

Work is to start on repairing footpaths on a west Hull street.

Resurfacing and reconstruction will be carried out on areas of the footpath on Princes Avenue which have deteriorated, Hull City Council said.

The work is expected to last three weeks and will be done in stages with parts of the footpath closed.

The first stage will be on the western side between Belvoir Street and the zebra crossing outside Princes Avenue Methodist Church.

It is scheduled to last from Tuesday 2 April to Friday 5 April.

A second phase from the church to the junction with Marlborough Avenue will start from Monday 8 April and run until Friday 19 April.

The council said the footpath would be closed during the works, with access maintained for residents via a temporary walkway within the carriageway.

The zebra crossing adjacent to the church will still be usable throughout the works, however, some parking bays and the bus stop may need to be suspended temporarily.
