Man questioned over cat attack in Ramsgate

RSPCA officers have questioned a man in connection with an incident which saw a cat being swung by its tail caught on CCTV.

The incident recorded outside the Camden Arms pub in Ramsgate at 08:15 BST on 29 October was described as "absolutely horrific" by the RSPCA.

The cat, called Mowgli, was not injured in the incident.

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said a man had handed himself in to Margate police station and was later released.

The RSPCA is continuing its investigation and is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
