Sacha Wheeler: Whitstable rail crossing death accidental

A coroner examining the death of a schoolgirl who was killed by a train on a pedestrian crossing in Kent has recorded a verdict of accidental death.
Sacha Wheeler, who was 14, was killed at the Glebe Way crossing near Whitstable in February.
At the time, Network Rail said Glebe Way was one of the railway line crossings it wanted to close.
Following the inquest in Canterbury, it said it was exploring a number of options to replace the crossing.
However, a Network Rail spokesman said the constraints of the site meant that closing the crossing would "not be a simple exercise".
"At the end of September we are meeting with Canterbury City Council to discuss those options," he said.
"We will then be in a position to speak to the wider community to hear their views."
In a statement after her death, the family of Sacha, who was a pupil at Simon Langton Girls' Grammar School, said their "hearts were broken".
