Ramsgate: Man arrested after noxious substance attack in graveyard

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a person was attacked with a noxious substance in Ramsgate.

The victim reportedly had a corrosive liquid thrown at him after he entered St Laurence Graveyard off Manston Road at about 20:20 GMT on 11 February.

Kent Police said a 22-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on Tuesday and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

The victim was taken to hospital for burns and later discharged.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
