The accident, which involved no other vehicles, happened on the road towards Sittingbourne near Maidstone on Saturday.

On Wednesday family and friends gathered at Sunny Sands in an event her father said she "would have loved".

Luke Ponter said: "It's just nice to see all these people turn up to show their respects.

"It's perfect, she would have loved it."

Alisha's mother, Cody Marie Hobman, described the 16-year-old as the "light of our lives".

A 15-year-old boy, also injured in the crash, remains in a critical condition, a Kent Police spokesman said.

He was treated in hospital for minor injuries and later bailed.

The crash involving a Toyota Hillux happened close to the junction with Church Hill.
