Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has visited Blackpool to see her new waxwork figure and open an exhibition celebrating Indian cinema stars.
The figure, which Miss Kapoor described as "incredible", took four months to create and cost £150,000.
More than 1,000 fans gathered outside Madame Tussauds Blackpool to see the actress, who has starred in at least 40 films including her most recent Ra One.
The waxwork will be on display in Blackpool until January 2012.
After that, it will join a touring exhibition around the world.
Miss Kapoor said it was an "honour and a privilege" to have a waxwork figure.
'Very scary'
She added: "Madame Tussauds Blackpool have really done a superb job at capturing my essence.
"Being immortalised is very scary but it's such a big honour and I'm very excited."
Other Bollywood figures on show in the exhibition include Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
However, Miss Kapoor said she would most like to stand next to Johnny Depp.
"I'm a huge fan," she said.
