The baby's body was discovered in a stream in Kirkham on 1 October
Police investigating the death of a baby whose body was found in a Lancashire stream say it is not too late for the mother to come forward.
The boy - believed to have been a full-term baby - was found in Spen Brook, off Carr Lane in Kirkham, on 1 October.
Lancashire police said it had carried out "extensive inquiries". The case has been on Crimewatch and This Morning.
Det Ch Insp Andrea Barrow said the woman had not "missed her opportunity" to speak to police.
"It's been two months now since the discovery of the baby boy at Kirkham and our main priority is still to trace his mother," she said.
"Despite the passage of time would urge her to come forward so that we can offer her the support she may need."
She said she understood the children's mother may be frightened but said "we really need to speak with her as soon as possible so that we can understand what has happened and put her baby boy to rest".
