Queen's Diamond Jubilee destinations revealed

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will visit Burnley and Accrington

The parts of the North West the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations have been revealed.

She and Prince Philip will be in Manchester and Salford on 23 March.

They will visit Accrington, Burnley, Warrington, Chester and Liverpool on 16 and 17 May, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

During the visits, the royal couple will carry out a series of engagements, but no more details have been revealed.

Earlier this week, Prince Edward was in Lancashire for two days to mark the start of the Diamond Jubilee events.
