Preston Bus Station: Redesign ideas on show

Preston bus station was considered the largest bus station in Europe when it opened in 1969.

Five shortlisted designs have gone on display in a competition to redesign Preston bus station.

Lancashire County Council is to spend £23m redeveloping the building and creating a youth zone.

Nearly 100 designs were submitted from around the world in the competition, which is being run with the Royal Institute of British Architects.

The shortlisted designs have been published online, where people can cast their vote, external before 21 July.
