Blackpool FC 'not for sale' says owner Owen Oyston

Blackpool FC owner Owen Oyston has said the club is "not for sale" during a public meeting with members of its Supporters Trust.

He was heckled throughout with chants including "Oyston out" as he attempted to answer questions from the floor at the Blackpool Hilton hotel on Saturday.

Blackpool were relegated for the third time in five seasons in May and relations between supporters and the owners deteriorated after the club's relegation from the Premier League after one season in 2010-11.

Mr Oyston said: "Every morning I wake up, I think of ways we can resolve the problems and get back to where we were."

It was the first time Mr Oyston had met fans for 20 years and described it as "a harrowing experience to come here and face this kind of barrage".
