Hedgehogs put football's bottom club Morecambe top of league

Morecambe may be bottom of the Football League, but the Shrimps have put them two points clear at the top of an alternative table - the Hedgehog Friendly Football League.

The Shrimps have gathered 10 points in the league, putting them ahead of Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Manchester City.

The league, set up by the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, awards points for 10 hedgehog-friendly tasks.

Morecambe have become the first team to get all 10 after getting a hedgehog to join their mascot for a photo for the final task.
