Why mural on a gin bar wall symbolises the city of Preston

A huge mural painted on a listed building without planning consent will be allowed to remain.

The Mother artwork appeared on the side of Grade II-listed Hogarths gin bar on Church Street, Preston, in July.

Artist Shawn Sharpe said people in city had embraced the mural.

He said it was meant to reference the lamb that features in the city's coat of arms.
