Chorley man pleads guilty to murdering former Barrow woman

Fiona Robinson moved from Barrow-in-Furness to Chorley last year

A man has admitted murdering a woman who died of multiple injuries at a house in Chorley earlier this year.

Fiona Robinson, 37, was found by police at an address on Congress Street early on 26 May.

Jason Gowen, 26, of Congress Street, admitted murder at Preston Crown Court and will be sentenced on 27 and 28 November.

Ms Robinson had been living in the town after moving from Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria last year.
