M65 crash: Family tribute to daughter killed after car lost control
- Published
The family of a 32-year-old woman who died following a crash on the M65 has paid tribute to "a shining light in all our lives".
Victoria Goodwin suffered serious injuries after a car in which she was a passenger lost control while overtaking a lorry at about 19:00 GMT on Wednesday.
She was taken to hospital following the crash, but died on Thursday.
Ms Goodwin's family said their "loving daughter" will be "sadly missed".
The family's statement said: "She was a shining light in all our lives, a talented singer and musician and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends."
Victoria was travelling in a Peugeot 208 which overtook a Mercedes Atego HGV before losing control and hitting a barrier on the eastbound carriageway of the M65 between junctions 2 and 3 near Preston.
The vehicle then re-entered the road and collided with several other vehicles, Lancashire Police said.
Witness appeal
The driver, a man in his 40s, and a child were said by police to have suffered less serious injuries.
The occupants of the other vehicles were not hurt.
Sgt Phil Baxendale, of the Specialist Operations Road Policing Unit, said: "Very sadly this collision has now resulted in Victoria losing her life and I would continue to appeal for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward and speak to us."
Police said Ms Goodwin's family continued to be supported by specially trained officers.
