Wakefield Cathedral Dean's wife in VAT song protest

The wife of the Dean of Wakefield Cathedral has recorded a song in protest at the VAT changes announced by Chancellor George Osborne in the Budget.

Alterations to listed buildings, many of which are churches, will be subject to 20% VAT instead of being zero-rated.

Church leaders have said that the hike puts the multimillion-pound restoration of the Wakefield Cathedral in jeopardy.
