Thieves take £40,000 of Chima Lego from Ainley Bottom Business Park

Thieves have stolen about £40,000 of Lego from a business park.

Officers said 16 pallets of Chima Lego were taken when an articulated lorry was broken into at Ainley Bottom Business Park, in Elland, West Yorkshire.

The theft took place between 17:00 GMT on Wednesday and 04:00 GMT on Thursday.

Det Sgt Terry O'Keeffe urged witnesses to come forward and asked the public to be "on the lookout for the stolen goods".

He said: "Physically moving such a large amount of Lego is something that would have appeared out of the ordinary and I am appealing for anyone who saw this incident to get in touch.

"I would also urge people to be on the lookout for the stolen goods. Lego is particularly topical at the moment with the film out and if you are offered for sale something that is too good to be true then it usually is."
