The body of a 26-year-old woman has been found in woods by joggers.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery near Alwoodley Crags car park in Stairfoot Lane, Leeds, on Sunday.

Post-mortem tests are taking place and police have said they would like to hear from anyone who saw "suspicious activity" in the woods between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

The suspects, aged 26, 32, and 70, from Leeds, remain in police custody.

West Yorkshire Police said a vehicle has been recovered for forensic examination.
