Ash Green: Man charged over Halifax primary school arson

A man has appeared in court charged with arson after a primary school was engulfed by fire.

The blaze at Ash Green Primary School in Halifax broke out at about 19:50 GMT on Tuesday.

Aaron Foster, 19, of Mixenden, was also charged with burglary when he appeared at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Thursday,

The badly-damaged school is not expected to reopen until after February half term.

Mr Foster is due to appear at crown court on 3 March.
