New Farnley murder inquiry: Woman who died after stabbing is named

A woman who died after she was found stabbed at a property in Leeds has been named by police.

Mandy Barnett, 60, was found injured at an address in Prince Edward Grove in New Farnley shortly after 11:00 BST on Monday, West Yorkshire Police said.

She was taken to hospital but died as a result of her injuries.

A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, appeared at Leeds Crown Court charged with murder on Friday morning.

The boy did not enter a plea and a further hearing has been set for 24 November.
