A 19-year-old man has denied the murder of two men in a triple stabbing.

Police were called to Commercial Street in Halifax on 1 October after reports three men had been assaulted.

Joshua Clark, 21, died shortly afterwards in hospital and Haidar Shah, 19, died later that evening. A third man had non life-threatening injuries.

Rashane Douglas, of Jade Place in Huddersfield, was remanded back into custody after the hearing at Bradford Crown Court on Thursday.

Mr Douglas also pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm in relation to the third man.

During the hearing, which lasted about 10 minutes, he also denied having a knife in Commercial Street.

Judge Jonathan Rose said Mr Douglas's trial was scheduled to start on 26 February.
