Leeds: Drivers warned of overnight M1 motorway closures

Drivers have been warned of overnight closures on the M1 in West Yorkshire to allow for survey work.
The motorway will be closed northbound between junction 44 for Rothwell and junction 46 at Austhorpe on weeknights for two weeks.
Overnight closures run from 20:00-06:00 GMT, with diversion routes signposted., external
Engineers will carry out tests on lighting along with completing ground and bridge surveys during the closures, National Highways said.
The agency added:
A further set of weeknight closures will take place from 4 December for two weeks
From 18 December, closures will switch to the southbound side for four nights
Three weeks of southbound closures will be carried out from 8 January
