Five men have admitted producing cannabis at a derelict care home in Leeds.

Police uncovered the large-scale cannabis farm at Moorfield House, in Fieldhouse Walk, Moortown, in December.

The plants had an estimated street value of £450,000, West Yorkshire Police said.

Six Albanian nationals were arrested at the scene and charged with production of cannabis. Five of them admitted the charge at Leeds Crown Court on Friday.

All gave their address as Moorfield House.

Altior Deda, 30, Erijon Gjoka, 21, Edison Markeci, 21 and Ali Qerfozi, 41, entered guilty pleas on Friday.

Agostin Marku, 36, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing and Andi Teta, 32, is yet to be arraigned, Leeds Crown Court said.

They were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 2 February.
