Car crashes through storefront of Wakefield pet shop

A car has crashed through the storefront of a city centre pet shop, police have confirmed.

Officers are currently at the scene in Westgate, Wakefield, after being called to the collision at Feathers & Tails in the early hours of Sunday.

According to West Yorkshire Police, no injuries have been reported and the incident is under investigation.

The shop owners have since notified customers of the incident on social media and said all animals were "safe".
