Fartown: Man arrested after six people rescued as two flats gutted in blaze

A man has been arrested in connection with a blaze that destroyed two flats in Huddersfield.
Six people had to be rescued and taken to hospital after a fire broke out in Hillhouse Lane, Fartown, at about 02:45 GMT on Wednesday.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service on arrival crews found the two flats were "100% involved in flames".
According to West Yorkshire Police, two people suffered injuries and officers arrested a man, 42, at the scene.
A number of nearby properties were evacuated as a precautionary measure whilst firefighters extinguished the fire, the force said.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is now under way.
