CCTV images of a man stabbed in Leeds city centre have been released by police as they try to trace him.
The incident took place in St Paul's Street at about 02:30 BST on Tuesday, according to West Yorkshire Police.
He was said to have approached a member of the public in the street and showed them apparent stab wounds to his torso and head "which appeared to be serious", a force spokesperson said.
However, the man left the scene before emergency services arrived.
He was described as being about 30 years old and 5ft 7ins (1.7m) tall.
Officers said they wanted to trace him so the seriousness of his injuries could be established.
The force also appealed for witnesses, or anyone with information about what had happened, to contact them.
