Stanford Hall plans for soldier rehabilitation centre under consultation

People are being asked their views on plans to turn a stately home into a centre for injured servicemen.

Stanford Hall near Loughborough was purpose-bought by the Duke of Westminster in October 2011.

Military rehabilitation is currently undertaken at Headley Court in Surrey which opened in 1947 to treat RAF crew.

A planning application for the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) is to be submitted in the autumn.
