Leicester murder probe after suspected stabbing

The man died two days after being found injured in Cropthorne Avenue on Friday

A murder investigation is under way after the death of a man following a suspected stabbing.

The 20-year-old was found injured in Cropthorne Avenue at 12:50 BST on Friday. He was taken to hospital where he died on Sunday.

His injuries are thought to have been caused by a "bladed weapon", Leicestershire Police said.

Witnesses told the force they saw two men with the victim at the time he was assaulted.

A medium-sized, dark coloured car was also seen in the area at the time, police added.
