Enderby car crash woman was dead before collision

Two men, aged 27 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of murder

A woman found dead in the back of a car after a crash had died before the collision, Leicestershire Police have revealed.

The crash between the car and a motorbike happened in Desford Road, Enderby, at about 11:45 BST on Sunday.

However, the force said a post-mortem examination revealed her injuries were not consistent with a crash.

Two men, aged 27 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

The dead woman has yet to be identified and inquiries as to how she died are continuing.
