The inquest into the death of Tarsem Singh has heard how the 52-year-old man was fatally injured at the Leicester factory where he worked.
In April last year Tarsem was operating a pressurised piece of machinery at Nylacast Engineering Plastic Solutions that moulds plastic into 3m long rods.
A thud was heard and he was found lying near a piece of machinery which paramedics believed had flown off and struck him - that's up to eight tonnes of pressure hitting Tarsem in the chest.
That trauma led to a heart attack, which according to the pathologist, was the principal cause of death.
We haven't head evidence from officials or employees from Nylacast yet but the jury was told there was no equipment failure or fault found and no evidence to support a case of corporate manslaughter from the police investigation.
The inquest is expected to hear from colleagues and Tarsem's widow.
