A man has pleaded guilty to murdering a 24-year-old who was stabbed in the chest.
Connor Black was found injured at a property in St Columba Way, Syston, Leicestershire, on 27 February, and died in hospital the following morning.
His friend Kaylon Wilson admitted murder during an appearance at Leicester Crown Court on Friday.
The 21-year-old, also of St Columba Way in Syston, will be sentenced on 1 October.
'Extremely traumatic'
Leicestershire Police said Wilson had told officers he had been thinking about causing harm to Mr Black following an incident the previous week.
When Mr Black asked to stay over at his home that evening, Wilson carried out the attack, stabbing him multiple times in the neck and chest.
He then told another person what he had done and officers were called to the scene.
Following Wilson's guilty pleas, the family of Mr Black paid tribute to a man who "had so much compassion for others" and "had his whole life ahead of him".
"Connor was a person who lived life to the full, a person who was so kind and caring and a person who touched the hearts of many," they said.
"He was a loveable and cheeky character and had a family who loved him so very much."
Det Insp Kenny Henry, who led the police investigation, said: "This was an extremely traumatic case with very distressing circumstances."
