Two more people have been arrested as detectives continue to investigate the death of a man in Leicestershire.

Matthew Schofield died after an assault shortly before 3am on 11 June in Belgrave Road, close to the junction with Belgrave Circle, Leicester.

On Friday, a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 48-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender, police said.

Both have been interviewed and released on bail.

The 34-year-old was found by police at around 4:20 BST and pronounced dead at the scene.

The two arrests bring the total number of people arrested in relation to Mr Schofield's death to 14.
