Download 2023 took place over four days to mark its 20th anniversary

Queens of the Stone Age are among headline artists announced for next year's Download Festival.

Avenged Sevenfold and Fall Out Boy are the other two headline acts at the three-day event in Donington Park, Leicestershire.

The Offspring and Sum 41 will also perform at the rock music festival, which will take place from 14 to 16 June 2024.

Download's Andy Copping says they "couldn't be more excited".

Mr Copping added: "This year we have two brand new headliners in the form of Queens Of The Stone Age and Fall Out Boy, as well as the mighty Avenged Sevenfold and a whole host of huge names that make every second of Download Festival memorable.

"I can't wait to join the fans there - it is our home."

He said: "We have the best and friendliest community together and we can't wait to celebrate the next 20 years of Download with you all."

The performance by Avenged Sevenfold, who last headlined Download in 2018, will be the finale of this 21st edition of the festival.

The band's guitarist Synyster Gates says: "We are super excited to be playing Download for the third time but as they say the third time is a charm, so hopefully we get it right this time!

"We appreciate everyone coming back and joining in the madness and the fun."

This summer the festival caused severe congestion on the roads

Corey Taylor, Royal Blood, Machine Head, and Pantera, are also among the first wave of artists announced for next June's event.
