Burbage: Woman found dead in village named by police

A woman who died in a Leicestershire village has been named by police.

Officers were called by paramedics to a property in The Coppice, Burbage, at 11:20 GMT on Sunday.

Christine Bauld, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, and her family are being supported by officers, Leicestershire Police says.

Gregor Bauld, 22, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later.
