A5 in Leicestershire: Two men killed in car crash with lorry
- Published
Two men in their 20s died when the car they were travelling in crashed into a lorry parked in a lay-by in Leicestershire.
Police were called to a stretch of the A5, near the junction with the B4114, near Hinckley, at 20:20 GMT on Tuesday.
Officers were told a grey Audi S4 had crashed into the lorry, with the men pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the lorry was not injured, a Leicestershire Police spokesperson added.
The force closed a number of roads following the crash, but these have since reopened.
Det Con Maddie Hayes said: "I'm particularly keen to speak to any motorists who were in the area and have a dashcam in their vehicle or who saw the collision occur.
"I'd also like to speak to anyone who saw the Audi on the A5 prior to it happening.
"Anything you can tell us, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could assist us."
