Lincolnshire council defends CCTV closure plan

North Kesteven District Council is defending its proposal to cut CCTV to save £60,000.
The Conservative led council wants to switch off eight cameras in Sleaford and another four in North Hykeham.
Councillor Marion Brighton of North Kesteven District Council said the authority was working to provide services but also trying to save money.
Ch Insp Mark Housley of Lincolnshire Police said he hoped they could find a compromise.
"We have got to sit down and work very hard to find a solution that will meet the needs of the people and the budget," he said.
The council said it needed to save £2.6m over the next the next two years with government grants cut by up to 30%.
It has also proposed that subsidised travel for pensioners be scrapped, parking charges increased, customer services department hours reduced and pest control services scrapped.
The proposals are yet to be voted on by the council.
