Lincoln Central Market revamp nears completion despite Storm Babet delay

The redevelopment of Lincoln's Central Market is expected to be complete by the end of October.
But the impact of Storm Babet has delayed work on the area around the building, the city council said.
No opening date has been set for the revamped market but stallholders will be able to move in once the site is transferred back to the council.
Kate Ellis, the authority's director of major developments, said she was "incredibly excited by the work".
Ms Ellis, from City of Lincoln Council, said the storm had no impact on the internal works.
But she said it had delayed work on the repaving of City Square.
'Completely transformed'
"Weather dependent, we expect handover of these works to take place later in November," she added.
"We are incredibly excited by the work that's been undertaken over the past year in order to completely transform the building and surrounding areas."
Work began on the £7m refurbishment project in April 2022, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
The scheme included plans for a new roof, an extension, a roof terrace and a new restaurant.
