Lincoln: Man, 76, dies after being hit by car in Brayford Way

A man has died after being hit by a car near the University of Lincoln, police have said.

Officers said the 76-year-old was struck by a black Ford Focus at a crossing on Brayford Way shortly after 22:00 GMT on Sunday.

An air ambulance took the man, who has not been named, to hospital where he died from his injuries on Monday night.

Lincolnshire Police asked anyone with dashcam footage taken around the time of the collision to contact them.

A force spokesperson said: "Our investigation is continuing and it is vital we get as much information as we can to establish the circumstances which led to the collision."
