Man charged over Boston street attack which left victim seriously injured

Police said the man was injured on Wormgate on the evening of 18 November

A man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after a man was seriously assaulted in Lincolnshire.

The victim, aged in his 50s, suffered serious injuries during the incident in Wormgate in Boston on Saturday.

Lincolnshire Police said Marin Berescu, 30, had been charged in connection with the attack.

Mr Berescu, who was arrested in the Luton area earlier this week, was due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court, the force added.
